December the Fourth

OK, I'm not sticking to the Christmas format with this one, unless you consider receiving Wiimail to be sharing in the Christmas spirit. Which you should.

This morning I was drawn to the majesty of my illuminated Wii, it's blue Wiislot pulsing, calling for me to press it's buttons, power it up and explore the wonders held within. (Will the sex metaphors ever get old?)

Before all that happened, I took some photos. I think they're nice. Steph may recognize the theme from my old TV Polaroids. Here's my favorite one. There are many more under the cut, as well as some links to download the full size versions of a few that are suitable for desktoppery.

Is the disk drive always supposed to be illuminated? Mine only lights up when I turn the system on...and I have the settings for the illumination on bright, not off, in case that's what you were wondering.

Nope, it only turns on and pulses when you have a new message or there is an update to one of the channels. It does not turn on if someone has sent you any Miis, only an actual message. So the setting for bright or dim is just for thoses times when you have a message, otherwise it stays off. I have mine set to dim and it's still really bright, bright enough to see it come on with all the other lights on in the room.

ok, well that's good to know. I'm gonna try re-adding you as a friend on my Wii, see if that does anything.

Ok, I erased my previous entry of your Wii address and re-added it. We'll see if it works this time.

I love playing with light and cameras. I really like the blue on this, its magical. And it could hold with Christmas, as it has that cold "wintery" blue feel. So not really, Christmas perse' (is that how one would type presay or what ever), but kind of winter holiday'ish.

Maybe
